Our easy three-step process makes selling straightforward and stress-free.
With decades of combined expertise, our team ensures your items are accurately appraised and reach the right buyers to achieve the best possible prices.
Our modern salerooms and strong online presence give your items the visibility they deserve.
The first step in selling with NLB Auctions is receiving a free valuation of your item.
You can easily submit details and images via our online valuation form — our specialists will review and provide an estimated auction value.
Once consigned, our team will carry out further research, professionally photograph your items, and assign both a low and high estimate.
You’ll receive a pre-sale email or letter confirming the auction date and the estimated value range of your item(s). Your Items will then be sold in the next Appropriate Sale.
Fourteen working days after the auction, you’ll receive a post-sale statement detailing the prices your items achieved.
Your payment will be sent via bank transfer for the total amount due.

We’re happy to assist with transporting smaller items from valuations or house calls. For larger pieces, we can recommend trusted local carriers.
Once consigned, our team will continue to research, catalogue, and photograph your items before assigning a low and high estimate.
You’ll receive a pre-sale email or letter confirming the auction date and the estimated value range.
Your Items Will Then Be Assigned to Our next Appropriate Sales Catalogue for Sale.
Our dedicated marketing team will work their magic — creating tailored ads, social posts, and targeted promotions to showcase your items to a global audience of committed, high-value buyers
If you’re concerned about your item selling too low, you may choose to set a reserve price — this is the minimum it will sell for.
Your item will only be sold if bidding meets or exceeds the reserve.
At NLB Auctions, we offer a competitive tiered seller’s commission, designed to reward higher-value consignments and maximise your return.
Our current commission rates are as follows:
All Lots Incur a £2 Lotting Fee (Only Applicable if your Item Sells, In The Case of Large and Bulky Items where a Two Man Lift is Necessary a £5 Lotting Fee Will be Applied)
There are no hidden fees, and all costs are clearly outlined in your post-sale statement
Fourteen working days after your items have been sold at auction, you will receive a post-sale statement summarising the achieved prices along with a bank transfer of the total amount.
